Read ArticleBRS Printing & Packaging has commissioned a fourth offset press at its Dhaka production campus, adding meaningful capacity to the company's hangtag and paper accessories lines. The new press was installed over a phased three-week changeover designed to keep existing production schedules on track for active buyers.
With the additional press online, overall hangtag output capacity rises by an estimated 35%, shortening turnaround times during peak seasonal ordering windows. The investment also brings finer registration control for multi-colour print runs, which the printing team expects will reduce reprint rates on detailed artwork.
The commissioning is part of a broader equipment upgrade plan across BRS Group's three companies, aimed at keeping pace with rising order volumes from export buyers while maintaining consistent lead times.
BRS Poly Industries has successfully renewed its ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification following a third-party audit of its poly packaging facility. The audit reviewed waste handling, energy use, and material recycling practices across the plant.
The renewal confirms that the company's environmental management processes continue to meet the international standard's requirements, including documented procedures for reducing production waste and monitoring resource consumption.
ISO 14001 certification is one of several compliance credentials BRS Group maintains across its companies, supporting buyer due-diligence requirements for responsible sourcing.
Phase two of BRS Group's rooftop solar program has been completed, extending panel coverage across all three factory roofs on the Dhaka industrial campus. The expanded array now supplies a significant share of daytime production power.
Since the phase-two installation went live, the group has measured roughly a 30% reduction in dependency on the national grid during standard working hours, with output varying seasonally based on daylight availability.
The solar program is one part of a wider sustainability roadmap that also includes water recycling initiatives and waste-reduction targets across the group's manufacturing operations.
BRS Group welcomed partners and buyer representatives from 14 countries to its Dhaka campus for the company's annual buyer summit. The two-day program combined factory floor tours with roadmap discussions on capacity, compliance, and product development.
Visiting teams toured production lines across all three BRS companies — garments accessories, poly packaging, and printing & packaging — and met directly with plant managers and quality assurance staff.
Sessions also covered upcoming certification plans and sustainability initiatives, giving buyers visibility into the group's roadmap for the year ahead.
Around 200 production line staff have completed an advanced workplace safety training program delivered through BRS Group's newly established in-house training center. The program covered machine safety, emergency response, and correct use of protective equipment.
The training center was set up to expand ongoing skills and safety programs across the group's factories, with sessions run in batches to avoid disrupting production schedules.
Further training cohorts are planned throughout the year as part of the group's continued investment in workforce development and workplace safety standards.
BRS Group has completed its first shipment of poly packaging to a new buyer in South America, marking the company's 42nd export market. The order was fulfilled through BRS Poly Industries and shipped directly from the group's Dhaka facility.
The milestone reflects the group's steady expansion into new regions over recent years, adding to an existing base of buyers across Asia, Europe, and North America.
BRS Group's export and documentation team continues to work with new buyers on market-specific packaging and compliance requirements as the company's international footprint grows.
